Smoke Fired Coil Pot
Smoke fired at the Full Moon November 2024
This one of a kind coil pot has been been burnished to a smooth sheen with my favourite beach pebble and wrapped in Cornish seaweed, collected from Marazion (in view of St Michaels Mount) and copper wire before smoke firing in sawdust. Left to smoulder overnight, the smoke and organic materials create gorgeous markings on the surface of the pot.
The pot is then polished with microcrystalline wax to a lovely tactile sheen.
